PolandSHIOK cultural agenda this year is focused on events in celebration birthday anniversaries of two well-known Poles – Stanislaw Lem and Krzysztof Kieślowski.

There are also two important events that take place this year – the 18th Chopin Piano Competition and Penderecki’s Garden project.

We start with Polish Film Festival presenting “Blue”, “White” and “Red” by Krzysztof Kieślowski. Join us and watch this famous trilogy for which Kieslowski received many prestigious awards and which cemented his position as one of Europe’s most influential film directors.

Read online about Stanisław Lem’s works and his predictions regarding our future, human’s place and role in the Universe and the impact of technology development on our life.

Visit our exhibitions. Join Marek Kamiński for the online technology and exploration-related journey “From South and North Pole to Artificial Intelligence”.

Come and see how Daniel Mróz captured the spirit of Lem’s stories and presented it in his drawings stylized on 19th-century engravings.

This year’s program will comprise also virtual concerts and digital tours which follow the footsteps of the famous composer Fryderyk Chopin.

We will also have an excellent opportunity to pay tribute to the late Krzysztof Penderecki, the most prominent Polish contemporary composer.
